In India, just like in many other countries around the world, there are many stray dogs who obviously aren’t spayed or neuter, which unfortunately leads to even more of them.
While some people care for the dogs and feed them each day, others look at them as a bother.
A four-year-old stray dog in the Indian town of Krishanagar gave birth to a litter of eight puppies in a gutter by the front door of a woman’s house.

As the pups grew, the family of dogs remained by the woman’s house, which she didn’t like.
One day, the woman picked up each puppy and slammed them against rocks until they died. She then threw their dead bodies in a field across from her house.
The puppy’s mother, Ammu, stood nearby, watching this cruel woman hurt and kill her babies. She even tried to nudge them to wake up.

Locals in the area said they saw Ammu frantically running around like she was looking for help.
When people in the neighborhood questioned the woman, she said the dogs “were a nuisance” and she didn’t want them near her home. They immediately called the police, who then arrested the woman.
The woman could face up to five years in jail.
