9-Week-Old Pup Dumped At Shelter Because He’s “Untrainable” & “Destructive”

Puppies are fun, full of energy, and need a lot of love, guidance, and training to grow up into happy adults. Sadly, not everyone treats puppies with the care and respect they deserve, and many wind up in shelters.

One such case is that of a little 9-week-old pooch in Middletown, New York. Wyatt is a sweet mix of American Eskimo, Yorkshire Terrier, and Dachshund who currently lives in an animal shelter.

Wyatt was surrendered to the Middletown Humane Society in New York recently. When asked for the reason he was being relinquished, the owner said because Wyatt is “untrainable” and “destructive.”

Sadly, Wyatt and millions of other dogs like him are surrendered to shelters every day. Fortunately, the person did the best thing possible by giving him a chance with someone who will love and care for him.

According to the shelter, Wyatt is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. They know a lot of people will be interested in adopting him, so they ask if you are interested to apply soon.

The first 20 applications will be accepted and screened. However, there are many other animals in need of forever homes at shelters all over the country.
