Hollywood Actor Shows Off His Tattoo, Says It’s Dedicated To The Puppy He Saved

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an actor most recognizable for his roles in The Good Wife, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Walking Dead. What you may not know about Morgan is that he’s an avid dog lover.

One day, Morgan was approached by a group of kids in Venice Beach, CA. They were selling puppies out of a box. They were trying to get Morgan to buy one and told him that the puppies cost $350 each.

Morgan pointed to a puppy lying at the bottom of the box, much smaller than the rest, and asked how much for that puppy. The kids said that she wasn’t going to make it through the night.

Morgan took out a $20 bill and handed it to the kids. He was then given the tiny puppy.

Morgan wasn’t optimistic about the pup’s condition but wanted to do what he could, so he brought her to the veterinarian.

She didn’t have much of a shot but Morgan wouldn’t give up! The vet suggested he could do what he could but her chances of survival were pretty bleak.

Surprisingly, the puppy began to perk up and take puppy formula from a bottle. Morgan had high hopes and introduced her to his other dog, Bandit.

Bandit took a particular interest and now the little puppy had two lives to live for besides her own!

In 2009, Morgan told the heartwarming story to Bonnie Hunt on a talk show. “I bottle fed her for a month, and she used to kiss her way around, which is how she got her name Bisou — it means ‘kiss’ in French.”

In honor of Bisou and her incredible will to live, the actor had her named tattooed on his arm.

Bisou spent 12 spectacular years with Morgan. She’s now running happy and free over The Rainbow Bridge. A tiny dog who barely had a chance at life lived a wonderful one indeed!

10 Of The “Most Loyal” Dog Breeds On The Planet
Giving love and support to humans is something that some dogs do better than others.

While many dogs love everyone they meet and are willing to take treats or belly rubs from anyone, the pups we found are just the opposite.

These 10 dogs are some of the most loyal breeds on the planet. They are rock steady in their loyalty to their owner no matter what.

1) Akita

When the American Kennel Club (AKC) lists loyalty to describe the temperament of the Akita, you know they mean business. The beautiful double-coated working dog of Japanese ancestry is considered hardwired in protecting those she loves. They should be socialized with other dogs and people from the time they are puppies. Their silly, fun, but dignified personalities round out the loyal Akita.

3) Skye Terrier

Known as the “small dog with the big ears,” this adorable breed hails from the Scottish Isle of Skye, hence the name. Whether you live in the city or the country, this small dog with a big personality is steadfast in snuggling, playtime, and remaining loyal to his owners.

4) Beagle

This merry hound is friendly, curious and incredibly loyal. While he doesn’t mind the occasional couch potato time, this spunky pooch is energetic and merry. A fun fact about this hound: the breed standard is for 13 inches and under and another in the 13-15 inch category. No matter how you size him, these adorable dogs just want to cling to you.

5) Shar-Pei

This wrinkly non-sporting breed is standoffish to strangers but very loyal to his owner. His ancient Chinese roots are part of the charm of the Shar-Pei. Regal, strong, and smart, if you want a BFF for life, this loose-skinned pooch may be the right choice for you.
