Young Shepherd Surrendered To High Kill Shelter With His Favorite Toys, Cries Before He Sleeps

Families often surrender their pets to shelters for various reasons. But for 9-week-old German Shepherd named Jordy, this action by his family became a soul-crushing ordeal as he lost all his spark.

He was settling nicely into his new family when they suddenly decided they didn’t want him around anymore. So they packed up all his toys and favorite blanket and left him at the Carson Animal Shepherd in Gardena, California with some food. This overcrowded shelter has limited resources and often have to resort to euthanizing animals if they don’t find a home in a few weeks.

Initially confused, Jordy soon realized that he had been abandoned by his family and no one familiar was coming back for him. This put him into an emotional shock and he sunk into depression. The rejection got him so bad that he was barely able to eat or drink.

Shelter workers remain very concerned as he cries himself to sleep every night on a cold slab. They have put up a listing for his adoption and are hoping that he finds a loving, doting family soon.  Any willing savior might want to contact Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566, and the reference ID for Jordy is #A5041776.

Check out the video below to watch Jordy lying sad and dejected in a corner after being discarded.
