When a litter of 3-day-old puppies showed up at an animal shelter in Texas, volunteers knew they had a huge dilemma on their hands. They think they know who did this because she owns the mama dog. Likely the owner did not want to put forth the time and money to allow puppies to stay.

Once Dr. Karri of Vet Ranch was told about the little ones, and she knew the pups needed her help. Without round-the-clock intervention, they would not make it and/or would be euthanized.
The tiny doggies, named River, Willow, and Meadow required feedings every few hours along with stimulation to urinate and defecate, as their birth mother would have done.

They received treatments to eradicate fleas. With time, they opened their eyes, got their first baths, and even got to play together.
