We all have a voice inside, and the best teachers help us find it. One group of students took the time to recognize their chorus teacher with a performance she’ll never forget.
High School choir teacher, Gabrielyn Watson recently took 7 months off to successfully fight multiple myeloma, a cancer found in white blood cells.
She thought she was arriving at the Chicago school for teacher interviews but some of her former students were secretly waiting to greet her.
Ms. Watson, who has been teaching at the school for the last 17 years, couldn't contain her emotions upon hearing their rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
