2-Month-Old Pooch With “No Color” Strung Up With Metal Rod By Dogfighters

Alfie isn’t even two months old but the tiny pup has a Herculean will to survive. When the little pooch first arrived at Care More Animal Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, a vet tech thought he would likely die.

Little Alfie had a metal rod inside of him that was purposely put there by a sadistic monster. Vets worried Alfie would not survive surgery to remove the rod from his delicate body.

A rescue group named Zeus’ Crusaders shared, “This is typical of dogfighters using them as bait dogs to string them up.”

Vet tech Lindsay Armstrong said Alfie was in shock when he arrived at their clinic. He was pale and traumatized, and surgery was his only hope of survival. During the procedure, the veterinarian found a heart condition.

“We actually found out that he has something is called PRAA, and it’s a persistent right aortic heart syndrome. So it’s something he was born with,” Armstrong stated.

Zeus’ Crusaders covered the cost of Alfie’s bills. Amazingly, he pulled through and Armstrong decided to adopt him.

“I just lost my first baby. So she’s 10 and a half years old and I lost her and I’m gonna start crying,” Armstrong reported.

More about this case and the pup’s road to recovery can be seen in the video here. Thanks to all who helped save Alfie’s life.
