Secret Cameras Caught The Cat Doing Something Baffling To A Pup With Separation Anxiety

Most people like to think that dogs and cats are mortal enemies. The animals might have different temperaments, but given the right circumstances? They can become the best of friends.

Take this household, for instance. Their young Vizsla would get separation anxiety while mom and dad were away. To make sure she didn’t get into trouble, they set up secret cameras.

They didn’t expect to see what those cams recorded, though!

At first, their little girl would toss and turn, waiting for her humans to return.

Thankfully, she didn’t get into much trouble, but it was obvious she was impatient to see mom and dad again.

Then, something happened that was so adorable, it could be in a Disney movie.

The family’s ginger cat tentatively took a step onto the couch with the anxious dog…

And then she curled up next to the sad pup, supporting her through the workday.

Contrary to popular beliefs, the cat didn’t want to hiss at the dog, make it leave the comfy spot on the couch, or anything of the sort. Instead, she just wanted to be close, to be loving, and to be supportive.

As the week drew on, the unlikely pair became closer and closer. At first, their cuddling was timid and didn’t last long. By Friday, they were happily playing, snuggling, and spending the entire day together.

Animals don’t make judgments like humans do. After all, we are the ones making assumptions that cats and dogs don’t like each other. The fact is, they can be the best of friends if given the right home environment and time together.

We can’t get enough of these two!
