#25 Akbash – 10 Years

The Akbash dog is a breed of dog that is native to western Turkey, and is considered one of the national dog breeds of Turkey. Like many dogs, the Akbash was bred as a farm and guard dog. The life expectancy for this breed is 10 to 11 years, and they are happiest spending those years working, with a specific task at hand.
They tend to be incredibly calm and protective. They are not a breed of dog that tends to be either shy or aggressive. Since this dog is use particular as a protective guardian of livestock, they’re a relatively uncommon pet – however, it isn’t unheard of.
They’re a low-energy breed, and because of their extreme intelligence and working nature, this isn’t a dog for everyone, and do best in an environment there they’ll get plenty of work.
