#18 Neapolitan Mastiff – 9 years
The Neapolitan Mastiff is an awesome-looking dog that makes our list of the breeds with the shortest life expectancy. Known for being a good guard dog, this is a breed that is fearless in the face of danger, and always ready to protect his owner. The fact that the Neapolitan Mastiff is extremely large only adds to its intimidating reputation!
Unfortunately the Neapolitan Mastiff is also prone to a number of serious health issues, including hip dysplasia and cherry eye, making its life expectancy low, at 9 years.
