#7 Greater Swiss Mountain Dog – 8 years
The Greater Swiss Mountain dog is is powerful and robust, and needs a fair amount of exercise because of his size. Steady and calm, but also athletic and bold, this is a dog that can easily pull a cart or sled as well as being a vigilant guardian of your home! The Greater Swiss Mountain dog often stays a “playful puppy” for 2 or 3 years – which can be fun, as long as you remember that he’ll probably weigh over 100 pounds!
Unfortunately, his life span is only about 8 years.
