#6 Chow Chow – 8 years

The Chow Chow is one of the cutest dogs around, in our opinion, with its fluffy fur making it look like a cuddly stuffed animal. In northern China, its name actually translates into “Puffy Lion Dog!” Another great feature of the Chow Chow is its blueish-colorer tongue.
On the down side, the Chow Chow is more than likely to suffer from ailments such as hip and elbow dysplasia and cataracts. These might explain why this cute little dog has a low life expectancy – around 8 years.
