#5 Mastiff – 8 Years

This relative of the Bullmastiff has an even briefer lifespan than its canine cousin. Any Mastiff owner should know that they live 8 years. This fact can be very surprising to people; Mastiffs are among the larger domesticated dog breeds.
People think that because smaller animals tend to live shorter lives, that larger dogs must live longer lives, but that isn’t the case. Experts have found that Mastiff’s 220+ pound frame actually contributes to its relatively short lifespan.
