Faline is a gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has an itchy belly. She loves when her owners scratch her tummy, which is something most dogs enjoy. Anyone who has shared life with a tummy rub type of dog knows they will do almost anything for the instant gratification they feel as a result.
Now that spring has sprung, Faline no longer has to rely on her mom and dad to scratch her stomach. The inventive doggo created a unique way to scratch her own tummy.
Faline spends her time at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue, as an original member of the farm. Her owners, Jennifer and Jim, got Faline to help ease their son’s pain after their Labrador Retriever died.
Their son, a boy named Keiran, is affected by autism and he really got upset about losing their dog. Faline and Keiran bonded, and the dog became an important part of the family and the boy’s healing process.
Whenever the couple lets Faline outside, she does the most precious maneuver to scratch her belly. She lays down in the grass and propels herself forward while dragging her back legs across the cool grass. It must feel good to have her stomach caressed by the blades of grass on a nice spring day. As Faline basks in the sunshine and her amazing life, Jennifer and Jim continue to rescue as many animals as they can.
Jennifer also has some health struggles and seeing Faline live her best life has helped her cope with illness as well. She says Faline was more like a member of the family than a dog right from the start. To see this gorgeous dog in action, press play on the video below.
