Residents at an apartment building in Boynton Beach, Florida phoned 911 recently after they witnessed a disturbing act of violence against a dog.
Police hurried to the scene where they saw 36-year-old Jonathan Goldstein who earlier had strangled a dog and threatened to throw the animal from a balcony.
As police approached Goldstein, he was walking near a phone store with a small brown dog in between his hands. He appeared to be choking the animal.
According to the police report, “The dog appeared lifeless and Goldstein refused multiple commands to place the dog on the ground.”
