Hateful Woman Moves In With Boyfriend & Leaves Pets Behind With No Food Or Water

The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association sees a lot of dogs and cats come through their doors. Those animals are being left behind for one reason or another, and sometimes animal abuse is involved.

However, a recent case of animal abandonment and abuse in Charleston, West Virginia, is so bad and so horrific, one rescue worker said, “this was one of the worst cases of starvation she’s seen in her career.”

Amanda Marie Case is accused of moving out of her residence and leaving her two dogs and one cat behind in a deplorable home with no food or water.

According to the criminal complaint, Case moved in with her boyfriend in St. Albans and simply left the poor pets behind to fend for themselves. She claimed neighbors fed the animals, but that was not the case.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found one dead cat and two severely emaciated dogs. Both dogs need intensive medical care as a result.

Conditions in the home were described as deplorable, and now Case is charged with animal cruelty. Sadly, the shelter where the dogs are being treated is flooded with animal abuse cases.

As of this writing, Case is being held in jail on a $15,000 bond. The two dogs will be held until a judge releases their care from Case. At that point, the goal is to put them up for adoption when they are physically able.
