Shelter Dog Waiting For A Home Has Watched 134 Dogs Get Adopted Before Him

Sam, a 13-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was surrendered to the RSPCA’s South Godstone Animal Shelter in England when his family could no longer care for him.

The shelter staff quickly learned how sweet and affectionate Sam was, but his loving personality was overlooked time and time again for reasons unknown.

Many people shy away from adopting senior dogs, but Sam still has a lot of energy and a huge zest for life.

But sadly, no one has given him a chance. He has watched 134 other dogs get adopted from the shelter while he is still there waiting.

Sam’s one-year anniversary of being at the shelter has come and gone, and he is still patiently waiting for a family to welcome him to their home.

For his anniversary, the shelter did a photoshoot with Sam, where he got to enjoy delicious cake and had his “packed bags” to show people that he’s ready to leave the shelter ASAP.

Despite being 13 years old, Sam loves to run around and play outside, but also enjoys napping and snuggling up next to you.

Sam gets stressed around other dogs, so he would be happiest living as the only dog and no young kids.
