5. Garlic and onions: Absolutely not. The allium family, which includes onions, leeks, garlic, and chives, can cause anemia in dogs, so definitely don’t share them with your pup!

This is one that most people would not have necessarily guessed. Onions and garlic don’t seem all that bad, but especially when they are eaten raw, they can be bad for your dog’s overall health. So they can be thrown into the “do not eat” column for your best friend. He won’t even know what it is that he’s missing out on.

Sadly, when it comes down to it, there are just some foods that your dog is going to have to watch you eat, and won’t be able to enjoy himself. Oh well! Such is life!
