Millie and Kiara’s story started off as a sad one.
The two had lived a life of neglect and cruelty for five long years and had nowhere to as they wasted away in the deplorable conditions forced upon them.
The poor dogs were extremely malnourished and covered in fleas, ticks, and parasites.

But that life was about to come to an end for Millie and Kiara! The Humane Society International Costa Rica division stepped up and rescued the dogs and took them away to a place where they’d never be abused again.

The two got all of the medical care and help they needed. And it wouldn’t be long after that until Millie and Kiara found their loving forever home!
Now, they are living the happiest life together as they continue to heal physically and mentally every day. 🙂
