Some pet owners don’t believe that socialization is very important, but it definitely is. If you are not properly socializing your dog, it can even shorten his or her life.
Do you let your dog around other dogs or humans? If not, start now. Even older dogs can be successfully socialized. By socializing your dog, you will reduce the stress in their life. This is important as stressed dogs are more likely to be aggressive, have accidents in the house, and even self-mutilate! These dogs are also more likely to run away from home, which opens up a whole new set of dangers for your pooch.
