31. Punishing Them For Aggressive Behavior

Dog’s don’t understand punishment the same way that humans do. You can’t physically punish your dog for acting aggressively, because they won’t understand.
They’ll just know that you’re hurting them for what they see as defensive behavior. The stress this causes can seriously mess with your pet’s health, which can in turn shorten their lifespan.
Make sure to deal with aggressive behavior in a manner that doesn’t involve punishing your dog.
