26. Ignoring Them

You are your dog’s life. You are their whole world. They love you with unconditional devotion. There’s very little you could do in your dog’s eyes that would make them love you any less. So, make sure you’re earning that unconditional love every day by giving your dog the attention it deserves.
When you ignore your dog, you’re not giving it the affirmation and validation that it needs, which can cause a lot of anxiety or depression in some dogs. It’s understandable if you can’t play with your dog right this second, because you’ve got work to do. But it takes just a couple of minutes to give them a good rub and let them know you care.
