Foods You Should Never Feed Your Dog

15. Gum

Gum is dangerous for your dog for two reasons. One, it contains xylitol, which is a sweetener that is often found in gum and other candies.

Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs, and if your dog manages to get his paws (and mouth!) and something that contains xylitol, it could cause liver failure. Secondly, gum can easily cause a bowel obstruction if your dog swallows it.

After all, gum is meant to spit out, not digested. Keep all candies entirely out of your dog’s reach, but most importantly keep gum away from where your dog can get at it.
