What do peaches, plums and apricots all have in common? They all have pits. If your dog gets a hold of a peach, plum or apricot, they could very easily swallow the pit inside. The pits are what you need to keep an eye on.

When swallowed, the pit of the fruit could cause an obstruction in your dog’s digestive tract, which is incredibly dangerous. Not to mention the pits contain small traces of cyanide, which can also be poisonous to dogs, as well as humans.

If you’re not interested in swallowing the pit, make sure your dog doesn’t get a chance to either.
